GovBids is a product of Ghray, Inc., built to make Canadian government procurement accessible to every business — not just the ones with dedicated bid teams and expensive subscriptions.
What We Do
We aggregate and index government tender data from CanadaBuys, Canada's official federal procurement platform. Our system checks for new and updated tenders every 2 hours, enriches the data with better categorization, and makes it searchable with smart alerting.
Instead of manually browsing a government portal, you can set up saved searches and get email alerts when relevant opportunities appear — whether you're looking for construction contracts in Alberta, IT services for the Department of National Defence, or office supply orders under $25K.
Why We Built This
The Canadian government spends over $25 billion per year on procurement. That's an enormous market, but finding the right opportunities has traditionally required expensive subscription services (like MERX at $600+/year) or hours of manual searching on government websites.
We believe open government data should be easily accessible. CanadaBuys publishes procurement data under the Open Government Licence — Canada. GovBids builds on that data to provide a better experience — better search, better alerts, and better value.
