Project Background The Provincially owned Carseland Bow Headworks System provides an essential secured water supply for irrigation, industrial, municipal and domestic uses throughout the Bow and Oldman River drainage basins. This water supply system is valued at over $1 billion and is critical to support the local economy, provide safe drainage and flood control and ensure a secure water supply for the Bow River Irrigation District and 300,000 Acres of irrigated crop land.
