A Study to Support the Development of NOx Base-Level Industrial Emission Requirements

Une étude à l’appui de l’élaboration d’exigences de base en matière d'émissions industrielles de NOx

Description

Environment and Climate Change Canada has a requirement for a study to support the development of NOx base-level industrial emission requirements as detailed in the Statement of Work, Annex “A” to the bid solicitation. The objectives of this requirement are to: a. Gather an inventory of facility and process information at a facility level for all Canadian chemical and nitrogen fertilizer sector sites that use reformers to generate hydrogen for sale or process use within the site’s operations. b. Conduct a quality control analysis of all the information and data acquired. c. Estimate the overall NOx reduction potential for reformers operating in Canada using the facility-level data acquired. d. Use the data acquired in order to determine the costs of implementing NOx reduction technologies at Canadian facilities, analyze which controls would be feasible at each facility, and provide analysis and recommendations on the feasibility of specific NOx limits for Canadian reformers.
