Nature of Requirements: The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement. The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to provide physiotherapy services for inmates at Dorchester Complex, located in Dorchester, New Brunswick. Objectives: To provide and coordinate essential physiotherapy services to inmates at Dorchester Complex. The Contractor must provide physiotherapy services at the request of the Manager Health Care and Rehabilitation Programs and Services (or delegate). Deliverables: • The Contractor must provide essential physiotherapy services to inmates, at the institutional physician’s or Manager Health Care and Rehabilitation Programs and Services (or delegate) request, in accordance with the National Essential Health Services Framework, including any amendment to this Framework issued by CSC during the contract period. These services include assessments, treatment and the provision of patient education. • The Contractor must prepare physiotherapy clinic lists and appointment schedules triaged based on requests for consultation received and emergencies as they arise. • The Contractor, in their role as a physiotherapist, must manage all aspects of physiotherapy services including coordination of care provided by other pertinent specialists to inmates to ensure continuity and integration of care. • The Contractor must document physiotherapy examination, assessments, treatments, recommended interventions, and consultations in the inmate’s electronic medical file in accordance with professional standards of practice. • The Contractor must consult with the Manager Health Care and Rehabilitation Programs and Services (or delegate) regarding requirements for physiotherapy supplies and equipment. The Contractor must submit any request for equipment and supplies to the Manager Health Care and Rehabilitation Programs and Services (or delegate) who must approve them. • The Contractor must provide the following: a) Backup personnel to ensure that there will not be any interruption in service and that Canada’s operational requirements are met when the Contractor is unable to provide services (including but not limited to, due to vacation or illness). • The Contractor must perform routine maintenance of on-site physiotherapy equipment and advise the Manager Health Care and Rehabilitation Programs and Services (or delegate) of all necessary maintenance and repair work that must be completed by a technician. • Any Special Authorization items the Contractor recommends must be made in accordance with CSC’s Essential Health Services Framework. • At the request of the Project Authority, the Contractor must provide consultations or clinics, or both from the Institution(s) or the Regional Headquarters in the Atlantic Region. Language of Work: The Contractor must provide services in both official languages. Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none.
