Nature of Requirements: This RFP is only for pre-qualified Suppliers against Hazardous Waste Disposal Services Supply Arrangement (SA) EW479-162880. TERRAPURE The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement. The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) has a requirement to provide health care to offenders within the institutional grounds. Providing health care generates hazardous medical waste that cannot be disposed of through the regular waste stream. Objectives: To ensure the safe and lawful collection and disposal of hazardous biomedical, pharmaceutical, dental and sharps waste. Deliverables: The Contractor (PCP), must collect the following: •Biomedical waste o Non-anatomical o Anatomical o Cytotoxic •Pharmaceutical waste •Sharps waste •Fixer and Developer Solutions •Dental Amalgams •Lead Foils The Contractor must provide the containers, pails, liners, sharps containers and any other packaging required for the proper collections and safe disposal of waste. Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none. Estimated quantity of commodity: See solicitation document statement of work and basis of payment.
