Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) Officers

Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada Strategic Directions & Corporate Affairs Branch (SDCA) has a requirement for Temporary Help Services and has issued a Request for Proposal to suppliers generated from CPSS who are qualified under the streams and categories listed above. 1. Review packages of records in both official languages provided by Offices of Primary Interest (OPIs) in response to ATIP requests, and apply all applicable severances, exemptions, and/or exclusions in accordance with the Access to Information Act (for ATI requests) or the Privacy Act (for Privacy requests). 2. Review decisions issued by any of the IRB’s four adjudicative divisions, in both official languages, and apply the Access to Information Act to ensure that all private and sensitive information is appropriately protected. 3. Make recommendations to the ATIP Manager regarding what information should be protected and what may be released.
