Description

NATURE OF REQUIREMENTS Canada requests proposals from Offerors to meet its requirements. For the convenience of Offerors, a brief description is set out below with detailed requirements in subsequent sections of this solicitation of offers. If interested and able to meet these requirements, Canada appreciates and welcomes an offer. The scope of work is to calculate from first principles the discharge capacity of the primary heat transport system (PHTS) pressure relief valves for a CANDU reactor during design basis and beyond design basis accidents at: (1) 10.057 MPa (g) set pressure for liquid D2O flow at 268 °C and 110% system over pressure per valve and (2) steam flow at 9.65 MPa (g) for a valve lift of 5 mm. A complete description of the work to be performed is provided in Annex A – Statement of Work It is intended to result in the award of one (1) contract for a period of six months commencing on the date of contract award. Interested bidders are required to submit their proposals in accordance with the instructions provided in this RFP.
