High Vacuum Cool Magnetron Sputter and Carbon Coating System

Système de pulvérisation cathodique par magnétron froid et de revêtement de carbone sous vide poussé

Description

The Quality Engineering Test Establishment (QETE) is a field unit within the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) with the mandate to provide the Department of National Defence (DND) and the CAF with specialized, technology-based test and investigative services required to support engineering decisions throughout all phases of materiel acquisition and support. QETE provides technical advice and consultation, material evaluation, investigation and analysis, calibration and measurement, in the domains of mechanical and materials engineering, applied science, electrical engineering, measurement science and imagery. The QETE 2-2 Failure and Accident Investigations Group provides advisory support to investigative agencies (e.g., Directorate of Flight Safety, Canadian Forces National Investigation Service and Directorate of General Safety), equipment managers and equipment operators regarding the potential requirement for a technical investigation following an accident occurrence. Failure investigation and analysis of structures and materials is performed using multi-disciplinary, laboratory-based analysis of evidence to determine the failure mechanisms and sequence of events. The High Vacuum Cool Magnetron Sputter and Carbon Coating System is an essential tool required for this work. This contract includes 5 additional 1-year periods options for the maintenance of the equipment. Goods must be consigned and delivered to QETE Supply Warehouse, NPB Building, 45 Blvd Sacré Coeur, Room C1113, Ramp 7, Gatineau, QC, J8X 1C6. The old solicitation W8486-249248/A is expired.
