Description

To procure a scanning mobility particle sizer (SMPS) for real-time nanoparticle sizing for use primarily within Construction Research Centre’s bioaerosol facility and to also support other projects within construction, metrology, and aerospace research centres. An SMPS is a scientific instrument used to measure the size distribution and concentration of aerosol particles in the air. SMPS systems are commonly used in atmospheric science, air quality monitoring and nanoparticle research to analyze particle size ranges from a few nanometers to several hundred nanometers in diameter. In this instance, the SMPS is required to measure the size distribution and number concentration of aerosol particles in Construction Research Centre’s bioaerosol facility.
