RFI: Legal Services for the Sexual Misconduct Support and Resource Centre’s Independent Legal Assistance Program

This Request for Information (RFI) seeks feedback from individual lawyers/law firms on their interest, capacity and ability to provide legal assistance, on an as and when required basis, in support of the Sexual Misconduct Support and Resource Centre’s (SMSRC) Independent Legal Assistance Program. Suppliers would be required to provide legal information, advice, and/or representation to individual victims of sexual misconduct, whose victimization has a nexus with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) / Department of National Defence (DND), when internal legal resources are unavailable due to timelines, specific expertise requirements, jurisdictional limitations, or where there may be a conflict of interest. DND is considering issuing a Request for Standing Offer (RFSO) following completion of the RFI.
