Through a national engagement initiative, FCC aims to better understand these systems and through shared knowledge encourage the development of tailored capital solutions and resources that align with unique needs and structures. Key areas of exploration include land access and management, contemporary agriculture and food, traditional food systems (hunting, fishing, trapping, gathering etc.), food security and sovereignty, and economic diversification. This initiative will inform the development of financial solutions and resources, from succession planning to agri-business innovation. Through this RFP, FCC is seeking to engage an Indigenous proponent to help us deliver on and achieve the objectives outlined in the scope of work document. For further details, refer to the RFP documents (RFP R-1689 - PS25-CU-001-Indigenous Agriculture and Food Systems National Engagement, and APPENDIX A - Scope of Work – Indigenous Agriculture and Food Systems National Engagement) that are uploaded to MERX. RFP PROCESS CONSIDERATIONS This opportunity is covered under the provisions of Chapter 5 (Government Procurement) of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) and Chapter 19 (Government Procurement) of the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). FCC is subject to the Official Languages Act (Canada). Proponents may choose to respond to this RFP in their official language of choice (English or French). This opportunity notice references a non-binding, competitive RFP, and is not a call for tenders. FCC is not obligated to proceed with the Work described in the RFP Scope, and may cancel the RFP at any time.
