Canada, as represented by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO), with the assistance of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), intends to use this RFI to consult industry on candidate vessels, associated costs and other considerations to enable Canada to assess the viability of chartering services for Midshore Fisheries Enforcement Charters (MFEC) capable of conducting boarding and inspection operations of vessels engaged in fishing activities within a range of up to 200 nautical miles from shore, in both the North Pacific Ocean and North Atlantic Ocean
