5P468-25-0050/A Stage 2 - Brass Point Bridges Reconstruction, Rideau Canal Historic Site REQUIREMENT This project entails the comprehensive reconstruction of the Brass Point Swing and Fixed Bridges, located on Burnt Hills Road near Seeleys Bay, Ontario. These bridges provide an important link between the City of Kingston and the Township of South Frontenac. The Swing Bridge will undergo a complete replacement of its timber superstructure and mechanical/electrical components. Reconstruction of the pivot pier and west abutment will also be necessary, including elevation increases to extend its overall life expectancy. Concurrently, the Fixed Bridge will undergo repairs and recoating of its metal superstructure, replacement of timber stringers and deck, and elevation adjustments to align with the swing bridge. While the crossing will be closed to vehicular traffic during construction, it will remain open for navigation. TWO STAGE SELECTION PROCESS This posting is the Stage Two of a two-stage solicitation process: the first stage was to evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers. The second stage (Stage Two) is to invite the qualified suppliers to provide further qualifications and a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid. Potential and interested sub-contractors are invited to add their company’s name under the section “Partner with another business”
