REQUIREMENT
Parks Canada Agency (PCA) is seeking a qualified contractor to supply all materials, equipment, labour and transportation necessary for the Rouge Beach Improvements Project located between Rouge Beach and Mast Trailhead of Rouge National Urban Park.
The project features revitalization of the Rouge Beach & Marsh Day Use Area; decommissioning & re-naturalization of the lower parking lot that is located in a flood plain; invasive species removal and management; creation of more wetland and marsh habitat through restoration; expansion of the upper parking lot with additional accessible parking; raising infrastructure to be outside of the 100-year storm levels; sanitary line replacements; a new accessible boardwalk ramp from the upper parking lot to the lower area that will be raised; decommissioning and re-naturalizing some informal trails; and a new formalized trail connection up to 2.4km in length with a raised boardwalk and handrail components complete with 3 pedestrian bridges that will provide an in-park connection from Rouge Beach to the park’s campground and trail network; construction of a new universal washroom building.
TWO STAGE SELECTION PROCESS
This posting is the Stage Two of a two-stage solicitation process: the first stage was to evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers. The second stage (Stage Two) is to invite the qualified suppliers to provide further qualifications and a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings.
