Description

Refurbishment of the lighthouse structure at the Langara Point Lightstation facility located on the north-west tip of Langara Island, which is part of the Haida Gwaii Islands adjacent to the Canada-United States border. The nearest community is the Village of Masset, located roughly 40 kilometeres to the southeast. It is accessible by helicopter and boat. The work comprises supplying all labour, materials, tools, transportation, supervision, and equipment necessary for the provision of completing the refurbishment.This is the first phase (Phase 1) of a two-phase process. The first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all bidders. The second phase, (Phase 2), will invite the qualified bidders to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Upon award of a contract in Phase 2, the pre-qualification list resulting from the first phase will expire and will not be used in any other solicitation. Following Phase 2 solicitation closing, bid results will be recorded and may be obtained by e-mailing a request to the address indicated in the Invitation to Tender.
