Public Works and Government Services Canada, on behalf of Corrections Canada has a requirement for the construction of a new smoke extraction system within Building M16 of Matsqui Institution located at 33344 King Road, Abbotsford, BC V2S 6J5. Work under this contract includes, but is not limited to: •Provision of a new smoke extraction system including (4) smoke extraction fan on roof, (6) makeup air unit at ground level, (1) supply fan and (1) duct heater on level 1 complete with associated ductwork, grilles, control, electrical connection and proper seismic installation.•Complete testing, balancing, start-up and commissioning of the new smoke extraction system.•Upgrade fire alarm panel to meet new fire/smoke extraction system requirements. Provide hardwired connection to the new smoke extraction system and to the existing HVAC units.•Fire alarm panel to be updated with the new fire alarm zones associated with the new smoke exhaust fans and make up air units. Work to be completed within 21 weeks from contract award.
